Life Skills

Life skills aims to increased opportunities, to control one’s own live. The objective is to improve on self-esteem and self-control to increase self-reliant. Identifying available resources within an individual, outsources the needed resources and provide business empowerment support.

Paralegal trainings are offered to equip the participant with basic knowledge on human right to prevent abuse and violence and understand rights. Health promotion offer information on health related issues and refer participants to professional health institutions when necessary.

Vocational Education Training (VET)

Vocational Education Training focuses on both girl and boy-child below the age of 18 years however those able to join the education systems do so with our support. CIGE offers VET to develop knowledge and skills to enable children get employment in the job market or start small scale businesses.

The objective aims to develop a wide range of individual and collective activities that develop skills and personal abilities. Some of the Vocational Education trainings are dress-making, hairdressing, mechanic, carpentry, welding, and masonry and so on. VET will aim at identifying talents and growing them. However, we work with established institutions to offer these skills.

Orphan and vulnerable child support program

CIGE supports orphans and vulnerable children through kinship program where family members and relatives of the children are involved. The program pays for education and basic support until they finish their education. Those that have already dropped out of schools are supported to join VET.
